In the three-dimensional laser cutting market, sheet metal workpiece appears more frequently. Because of its high intensity, low processing cost and strong molding, it is widely used in transportation, electronic products, household products and other industries. At this stage, sheet metal occupies a place in the process of product development. It not only requires technical engineers to master its performance, but also converts its performance into processing advantages, bringing more profits.

In the sheet metal processing market, in addition to 3D laser cutting technology, there are other processing technologies, some of which develop faster than 3D laser cutting equipment. Workers have rich experience in sheet metal processing. With the development of science and technology, the advantages of these processes remain unabated, but the disadvantages are becoming increasingly prominent. When choosing processing equipment, we should comprehensively consider all factors and choose the process suitable for our own processing.

1. 3D laser cutting process

Three dimensional laser cutting has the advantages of flexible processing, fast cutting speed, short production cycle, smooth and flat cutting lines and good processing environment, which is widely favored by sheet metal processing customers. No matter how complex the shape of the workpiece is, the three-dimensional laser cutting equipment can adapt quickly in the processing process, without direct contact with the surface of the workpiece, and can be formed at one time, which shortens the processing time for enterprise manufacturers and improves product profits.

2. Punching process

Punch technology has the advantage of flexible processing, which is different from three-dimensional laser cutting equipment. Three dimensional laser cutting equipment can process any three-dimensional curved parts at any time. However, punch equipment is a kind of equipment that can have one or more sets of punches with shape requirements to process a type of workpiece. Our common chassis and cabinets are typical sheet metal workpieces, which only need to cut circles, edges and square holes. Punch technology is still used for workpieces with fixed patterns, single styles and relatively simple processing. The punch process has the advantages of fast processing speed and large production capacity for simple and single graphics. Its advantages and disadvantages are that when stamping thicker sheet metal parts, a larger tonnage punch will be required, so the noise will increase, which is not conducive to environmental protection; Secondly, the processing speed will slow down and affect the effect of finished products; Facing industries with diverse styles and rapid development, it will waste molds, increase production costs and prolong processing time.

3. Plasma process

Plasma process is an enduring traditional process in the current market, which is simple to operate, fast in cutting speed and good in cutting effect. Plasma process is similar to the original flame cutting process, but the accuracy of plasma processing is higher than that of flame cutting. If you encounter high process requirements, you can add another processing process to solve the problem, which makes a great contribution to the sheet metal processing market. However, with the enhancement of people's awareness of environmental protection and the choice of the nature of work, more and more young people are unwilling to take this job.

4. Flame cutting process

Flame cutting process is a processing method earlier than all the above processes. At first, some workpieces with low investment cost, low processing requirements and large demand were processed, which occupied a large share in the market. Its disadvantages are large thermal deformation, wide gap, slow speed and waste of raw materials during processing, which is only suitable for rough processing.

Three dimensional laser cutting process, punch process and plasma process are the three processes that are widely used in the cutting market. Each of the three processes has its own advantages and disadvantages. You can choose a suitable process according to your own needs.
