Three dimensional laser welding equipment can weld workpieces of various materials, and is widely used in different industries. Laser welding has the advantages of fast welding speed, strong welding flexibility and high welding density, with small welding gap and heat affected zone. If you have rich technical experience and master some change rules, you can weld machined parts of different materials according to the requirements of customers. The welding process is simple and fast.
1. Carbon steel
In the process of welding, low carbon steel and low alloy steel have good weldability. For carbon steel workpieces with low concentration, the probability of welding cold cracks increases when using other processes. Considering the actual situation of the weld in the design of three-dimensional laser welding process, the residual cracks in the heat affected zone will be reduced and the processing influence area will be reduced during normal operation. When the carbon steel material reaches a certain concentration, its welding cracks will be reduced to achieve a smooth and beautiful effect.
Galvanized steel is also a kind of workpiece made of carbon steel. Because the vaporization temperature of zinc is lower than the melting point of steel, it is called galvanized steel. Generally, zinc is easy to evaporate in the process of welding. If the parameter program is not set in place, the possibility of pores in the weld increases, especially in the case of penetrating the workpiece.
The workpiece made of sulfur and phosphorus also has a certain influence on welding cracks. Generally, when the concentration of sulfur and phosphorus is greater than that of carbon steel, laser welding will easily produce cracks.
2. Stainless steel
The thermal conductivity of laser welded stainless steel workpiece is lower than that of carbon steel, so the absorption rate will be higher than that of carbon steel. Sometimes the welding process of stainless steel is simpler than that of carbon steel, and the heat input of laser welding is small and the welding speed is fast. Some stainless steel materials using other welding processes will have poor weldability, and the welded joints will usually harden and crack. If laser welding equipment is used, its effect will be significantly improved, and the welding method is relatively simple.
3. Copper, aluminum and their alloys
The reflectivity of red copper to the laser will be lower than that of carbon dioxide, so it is possible to use three-dimensional laser welding process to weld the workpiece made of red copper. If there are further requirements for its welding penetration, red copper can improve the laser absorption through surface treatment, so as to obtain better effect display.
Some brass materials do not support the welding process because the zinc content exceeds the set value of laser welding. Too much zinc value will easily lead to gasification and porosity.
The reflectivity and thermal conductivity of aluminum alloy are very high, so the workpiece made of aluminum alloy needs high-density welding process to complete. Just three-dimensional laser welding equipment is a high heat, high-density welding process, which can meet the requirements of welding effect. However, some aluminum alloy workpieces contain volatile elements, such as magnesium, silicon and other chemical elements, which may cause welding defects during welding; However, aluminum alloy materials with high concentration do not appear this phenomenon, but will have unexpected post welding effects.
